Western Boogeyman Remembered: Qaddafi’s Achievements and Pan-African Hopes

Twenty five or thirty years ago suppose we asked you which country in the world has no foreign debt? This  country deposited its profits from oil into the bank accounts of its citizens. This same country had free, good quality healthcare, free education, rent free housing and free electricity. Sweden? Norway? Denmark? The answer is…Libya. Not only did Muammar Qaddafi promote these things, but he strove for a United States of Africa and wanted to get Africa away from using the dollar. This is why capitalists the world over hated him.
