The Wisdom of Mesopotamian Economics and Myopia of the Greeks

This article contrasts the economic foresight of the various cultures of Bronze Age Mesopotamia to classical Greece. The Greeks, like the Romans, allowed debts to accumulate and this ultimately destroyed their civilizations.  Of course the Free Market Fundamentalists have such a bad case of historical amnesia they can’t even keep track of the history of capitalism 100 years ago, let alone learn anything from deep history.
