Propaganda Techniques in the Capitalist Press – The Case of Hugo Chavez

This article names three common propaganda techniques used by capitalist media: framing; suppression by omission (censorship;) and the avoidance of following up. On the fourth anniversary of the death of Hugo Chavez these techniques are applied to attacks by US media and Chavez’s attempt to build 21st century socialism.
