No Capitalism As Usual in Argentina Last Monday!

Argentina’s far-left working class flexed its muscles last Monday with a general strike that shut down the country. There were no buses, trains, or subways operating. 600 flights were cancelled. Schools, banks, ports and many businesses were closed. With an inflation rate of 27%, workers not only demanded an increase in wages which kept up with inflation, but an actual raise. These workers were able to connect the dots between struggles as they wore arm bands symbolizing the recent victory of feminists over abortion.
