Marxian Economist Michael Roberts Predicts a Depression

Capitalist fundamentalist economists are forever blaming external factors whenever the stock market collapses. In this interview, Michael Roberts points out that capitalism was headed for a depression whether or not the coronavirus hit. Roberts defends Marx’s theory of crisis by saying that when all is said and done, the trade war with China, the oil prices and even rising bad debt are all symptoms of the tendency of the rate of profit to fall.
