“Management Has No Right To Exist” – Post World War II Radical Unionists in the Heartland

When we normally think of radical unions in Yankeedom, we think of them as urban or existing somewhere along the east or west coasts. But the Farm Equipment and Metal Workers Unions were neither. After World War II they fought hard battles before falling to the anti-communist hysteria. In their philosophy they say: “management has no right to exist”.
