LA Teachers: The Process By Which Union Power Put 34,000 Teachers In the Streets

It’s easy to get caught up in the thrill of seeing 34,000 teachers in LA marching in the streets. But at least as important as the marching is the process that made this happen. As always, Labor Notes focuses on how these strikes became successful. In this case, two things happened. The winning of control over the union by a group called Union Power. Secondly, the cell of all the organizing was the Contract Action team.
