Keynes Is As “Socialist” As Bernie Sanders – (i.e., Not At All)

This is a good blog post for people who are trying to sort out what socialism means economically. Just as Bernie Sanders presents himself as a socialist, Keynesian policies will no doubt be seen by both liberals and conservatives as socialist. But as  Michael Roberts points out, Keynes’ outlook changed. In his early years he was more like an FDR liberal, but in later years he was a conservative, even praising the work of Von Hayek. Roberts concludes that managing and regulating capitalism is not socialism.
