Iran Rising: Infrastructure, Science and Technology Thriving

The stereotype most people in the United States have about Iran is that it is a cauldron of Islamic fundamentalism. But then how do we explain Iran’s cooperation with Russia and China in building infrastructure? How do we explain that Iran ranks 30 in the world’s health care systems compared to the US’ rating of 50th? Lastly how do we explain that 70 of the science and engineering students in Iran are women? Iran will continue to be made an enemy of the empire also because, like China and Russia, it is no longer trading in US dollars.

Bruce Lerro has taught for 25 years as an adjunct college professor of psychology at Golden Gate University, Dominican University and Diablo Valley College.
