Gar Alperovitz: Infrastructure for Socialism in the United States is Growing!

Whether or not you think Bernie Sanders is really a socialist, and whether or not you think that he can win the primaries, a major point is that people under thirty are not afraid of using the word socialism to describe themselves. But maybe more important than this, the infrastructure for socialism is growing, as Gar Alperovitz’s article points out. These include movements for publicly owned banks in at least 3 cities, 250 land trusts to prevent gentrification and 450 municipally  owned internet systems.
