Coronavirus Is A Political-Economic Disaster – Not a Natural Disaster

As usual, the powers that be always reach for some cause outside the internal workings of their system when things go wrong. As the author of this article points out, most people think famine was due simply to bad harvests and lack of food. But historically most famines were caused by political decisions made by the state. So also, with the coronavirus, initially it had a natural cause, but it either was contained better or worse by the political and economic policies of the state and the capitalists.
