Capitalist Irrationality: Oil Company Lays off 85,000 Workers!

Why is this irrational? Capitalists are responsible for how much oil is produced.They are supposed to be the all-knowing innovators and visionaries. Yet their lack of planning results in overproduction. In a rational economic system the capitalists would pay for the costs of their mistakes. By in the irrational system that we have, incompetent capitalists have the right to make workers pay for the capitalists’ mistakes. So now 85,000 people who had nothing to do with over production of oil are out of work. That will mean 85,000 people will need more government assistance and be unable to pay for goods and services that the capitalists depend on for their profits. We witness and are paying for the irrationality of the capitalist system once more.
