Bye-Bye World Dominance: Russia and China Leave US Empire Scrambling

Capitalism is a cold system. It is housed by countries but is loyal to none of them. 17th century Holland was once the great capitalist country of Europe, defeated by the British. 19th century Britain is now a shell – and a colony of the US. Today the United States and Europe, once proud mothers to capitalism, are scrambling for their lives. The real power of capitalism are in the factories of China, the energy sources of Russia, the science of Germany and the New Silk Road that will unite them all.

Bruce Lerro has taught for 25 years as an adjunct college professor of psychology at Golden Gate University, Dominican University and Diablo Valley College. He has applied a Vygotskian socio-historical perspective to his five books: "From Earth-Spirits to Sky-Gods: the Socio-ecological Origins of Monotheism, Individualism and Hyper-Abstract Reasoning", "Power in Eden: The Emergence of Gender Hierarchies in the Ancient World" (co-authored with Christopher Chase-Dunn), "Social Change: Globalization from the Stone Age to the Present", "Lucifer's Labyrinth: Individualism, Hyper-Abstract Thinking and the Process of Becoming Civilized", and "The Magickal Enchantment of Materialism: Why Marxists Need Neopaganism".
