There is no question that this is a wonderful victory for all the protesters and supporters of Standing Rock. It shows that the Empire cannot simply do whatever it wants. On the other hand, the statement by the Army Corps of Engineers has not closed the door on the pipeline completely. What this article also points out is the connection between the the tribal chairman of the Standing Rock Sioux and the Democratic Party. Instead of praising fellow protesters and supporters he lavished praise on Obama and his administration. Not exactly a revolutionary tribute!
