Slashes to Pensions and Healthcare Threaten U.S. Coal Miners

Working in a coal mine is some of most physically demanding and dangerous work there is. If any workers need health and pension benefits after they’ve worked a lifetime for capitalists, this group should be at the head of the line. Yet now they’re finding their pensions and health care are under attack. This article points out that this is in no small part due to lack of support from their union.
