Pulling Whites Up By Their Own Bootstraps: Is This White Identity Politics?

According to this article, playing the race card directly against blacks is too much of a taboo. Instead Trump used it against a less organized group – Mexicans – but decades of suppressed white hostility to blacks is never far from the surface. Unfortunately there is no mention of the social class dynamics operating.
