Economic Democracy: Pros and Cons of Participatory Economics

This article nicely summarizes the pros and cons of Michael Albert’s and Robin Hahnel’s “participatory economics” project.

It goes into some of the problems involved when local participatory planning would replace markets. The author has written a book which claims to resolves some of these problems. The  title alone is with the price of admission. It is called “Anarchist Accounting”.
