How Political Passivity Produces Racist Killing Machines

This article makes a good connection between structural violence and the lack of political participation in social organizations that might make alternatives to many forms of violence possible. It would be even better if this article could explain the complicity of those not directly involved in state violence and how we rationalize both the actions done by the police as well as actions done to them.
